Historical Context:

Tigranes II the Great (95-56 BC): Tigranes II, also known as Tigranes the Great, was a significant ruler of the Armenian Kingdom who expanded its territory to become one of the most powerful states in the region. His reign is noted for the promotion of trade and military campaigns that extended Armenian influence.

Tyche and Orontes: Tyche, the goddess of fortune, symbolizes the prosperity and stability under Tigranes’ rule. The river god Orontes represents the importance of river systems and the fertility they bring, which were vital for the region’s agriculture and economy.
