CARIAN ISLANDS. Rhodes. Ca. 188-125 BC. AR hemidrachm (12mm, 11h). NGC VF. Plinthophoric standard, Dionsiuis, magistrate. Facing head of Helios, turned slightly right / ΔIONΣIOIΣ, rose with one bud; P-O flanking stem, cornucopia to lower left. HGC 6, 1462. Note: this magistrate may be a blundered attempt of Dionysius, who is typically associated with the cornucopia on this specific type.
