Obverse:

- Design: Fire temple of Ahura Mazda.
- Description: The reverse depicts the sacred fire temple of Ahura Mazda, the supreme deity in Zoroastrianism. Above the temple is the half-figure of Ahura Mazda, emphasizing the religious significance and divine endorsement of Vadfradad’s rule. To the left of the temple, Vadfradad is shown standing right, resting his hand on a grounded bow, a symbol of strength and authority. To the right, there is a standard next to stylized Aramaic inscriptions: “wtprdt” (Vadfradad) and “prtrk'” (frataraka), indicating his title and role.
Historical Context: Vadfradad I, also known as Autophradates, ruled the Persis Kingdom during a period of significant cultural and religious transformation. His coinage often reflects the influence of both Persian and Hellenistic traditions. The depiction of the fire temple and Ahura Mazda on the reverse signifies the importance of Zoroastrianism in his reign and the divine support for his authority.
Condition: The coin is graded Choice VF (Very Fine), indicating that it retains a good amount of detail on both sides, with only minor wear consistent with its age.
