Phoenicia, Tyre, AR Shekel, struck 102-101 BC, laureate head of Melkart right, wearing lion skin aorund neck, rev. TY[ROY IERAS] KAI ASYLOY, eagle standing left with palm frond under left wing, EK to left above club, monogram to right, alpeh and ship’s prow between legs of eagle, 14.28g (DCA Cohen, Supplement, 2.25-52), some loss to reverse legend, minor double strike on reverse, cracks running along edge of flan, lightly toned with a golden lustre, EF.
