Constantinople. +IhS XIS RЄX-RЄϚNANTIhM, Christ Pantocrator enthroned facing on lyre-backed throne with curved arms, wearing cruciform nimbus, holding book of Gospels cradled in left arm / + ΚΩΝ RACΛ O ΔΟVKAC, standing facing figures of Constantine, on left, crowned and wearing saccos and loros, holding globus cruciger in left hand, and the Virgin Mary, nimbate, wearing pallium and maphorium, standing slightly left, raising right hand to bless the emperor barred M in central field between their heads, Θ in right field.
