Ancient Egyptian Turquoise Blue Ushabti Faience Ushabti Third Intermediate Period, ca. 1070-664 B.C. Size 4 5/8 inches high.+ stand (11.7 cm) Bright turquoise Blue glazed faience mummiform ushabti depicted wearing the royal wig and holding implements in his crossed hands. Black painted headband, tied in the back, and seed sack. Vertical column of hieroglyphic inscription down the front of his legs with High Priest name. Mounted on an old wood block base Custom base. Provenance: Private New York city Egyptologist collection acquired in the USA from Arte Primitivo. Lot 202 Ex: Collection of Robert J. Molnar, Hillsdale, NJ, acquired 1960s
Condition
Repaired break through his knees and some small surface chips.
