ROMANUS IV, 1068-1071. AV Histamenon Nomisma (4.32 gms), Constantinople Mint. NGC EF, Strike: 2/5 Surface: 2/5. Clipped, Marks, Die Shift, Flattened.
S-1860. Obverse: Michael standing facing on a pelleted dais, holding labarum and akakia, between Constantius and Andronicus, each holding globus cruciger and akakia; Reverse: Christ standing facing on footstool, crowning Romanus and Eudocia, each holding globus cruciger. A debased gold issue, no longer in its original scyphate form but still amply detailed.
